Frequently Asked Question

The voip.ms "Virtual Fax" console is a way to send and receive faxes without a fax machine. Digital files can be sent directly from the web interface (see below), files that need to be signed or physically written on need to be scanned to a PDF file before sending. Valid formats for the fax can be in pdf, txt, jpg, gif, png, tif.


Sending Fax(s)

1. Login to the voip.ms account (admin or general) using the username and password stored in 1password.
2. Once logged in select "Virtual Fax" from the "DID Numbers" menu at the top of the page.
3. Select "Send a Fax" from the buttons on the page (See attached image).
4. Fill in the needed info to send the fax (see attached image).

Once the fax is queued for sending it will send a message to the email address entered when the fax was sent. Any additional status messages such as delay, sucess, or failure will be sent to the same address.
